Power Test Makes Donation on Behalf of Atlas Copco – Zambia

Power Test Makes Donation

Sussex, Wis. – June 17, 2015 – On behalf of Atlas Copco in Zambia, Power Test dynamometer and engine testing product manufacturer donated $5,000 to Lusungu Children’s Home, a shelter that supports children affected by HIV/AIDS.

The donation is a result of Power Test’s ongoing offer to its customers to donate to the charity of their choice on their behalf. Power Test engineer John Miller visited the shelter during his commissioning trip to Atlas Copco-Zambia. Atlas Copco is a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions.

Once an orphan himself, Bishop Caddie Ngambi and his wife acquired the 25-acre property in 2000, where they live with their seven children and those from the shelter under the age of 9.

Currently, the shelter has four buildings and is home to about 30 children. They would like to construct a school building and fish pond, and hope they can become self-sufficient in food production in the future.
