We wanted to reach out to you today with some information about prescriptions as we move to our new insurance coverage with United Healthcare. Humana’s coverage will end 12/31/2019 and United Healthcare’s will begin on 1/1/2019 which may impact any drug prescription refills you may need at the beginning of the year. I am providing you with United Healthcare’s prescription drug list with information on:
- which prescriptions need a preauthorization
- what tier a medication is
- other information on their prescription program
United Healthcare recommends refilling any prescriptions before the New Year so that there isn’t any risk of a delay if any preauthorization is required.
