Allowing the eddy current absorbers on your Power Test EC dynamometer to cool down before they stop rotating is an overlooked but crucial step in preserving the length of your dynamometer’s life.

When testing a vehicle on the Power Test CF22EC Chassis Dynamometer, it is very important to allow time for the eddy current absorbers to cool before they stop rotating. Once the test has been completed, keep the vehicle running at 30 MPH with no load on the absorbers for a minimum of 3 minutes. This will allow time for the absorbers to cool to a safe temperature.
