Power Test Fuel Storage Tanks

We offer a variety of portable and fixed fuel storage tanks to allow for quick and efficient fueling and refueling. These include both Portable and Stationary Fuel Supply Day Tanks depending on your testing needs.

Taylor Dyno Fuel Storage Tanks

We offer a wide range of above ground rectangular diesel Fuel Storage Tanks. These tanks come standard with a level gauge and a 2 in. (51 mm) fill connection. Models are available in sizes ranging from 10 – 1,000 gallons (37.8 – 37,800 liters).

We also offer Automatic Day Tanks that are small, above ground, temporary fuel storage tanks typically in or near to an engine test cell that are sized to provide a short-term fuel source for the test cell (engine) requirements. They may contain a motor/pump to source (transfer) fuel from a bulk storage tank and in many cases, a small prime pump to pre-charge the fuel line to the engine. A properly designed fuel distribution system is required for a day tank to be used in your facility.

Power Test Fuel Storage Tanks Features:

Portable Fuel Supply Tank:

• Equipped with retractable fuel supply and return lines, 15 feet (4.5m) long
• Fuel storage tank can hold up to 50 gallons (189 liters)
• Fuel priming cabinet included to facilitate engine starting, cabinet specifications
  • Electric Fuel Pump:
    • Maximum pressure is 14 PSI (96 kPa)
    • Flows 88 GPH (333 LPH) at 9 PSI (62 kPa)
  • Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve:
    • 4-25 PSI (27-172 kPa)
    • Internal Pressure Gauge for reading fuel pressure: 0-60 PSI (0-413 kPa)

Stationary Fuel Supply Day Tank:

• Built in tank level control system can be used to notify the status or automatically fill the tank when fuel levels become to low
• Can be ordered with or without a fuel fill valve. This valve is used in conjunction with the Level Control system, as tank empties the valve is energized to allow the main fuel storage supply to refill tank
• Controls require a 120VAC power supply (Can be supplied in 220VAC version)

• Connections 4 – 1” (25 mm) NPT (fuel outlet, fuel return, alternate fuel return, overflow)
• Normal vent connection 1-1/4” (32 mm) NPT
• Emergency vent size specified by UL-142
• Tank drain connection 3/8” (10 mm) NPT

Automatic Day Tank

• Built and labeled per UL-142 specifications
• Heavy gauge steel lap joint construction
• Heavy-duty steel cover with window
• Six 1/2 in. (13 mm) square removable inspection plate
• 2 in. (51 mm) NPT normal vent connection

• Four 1 in. (25 mm) NPT connections; fuel outlet, fuel return, alternate fuel return and overflow
• Emergency vent connection, size specified by UL-142
• 3/8 in. (10 mm) NPT tank drain connection
• Critical high fuel level alarm with fuel inlet control solenoid
