Description
The AC-Series (Alternating Current) engine dyno is designed for additional functionality not provided by other dynamometer testing technologies. The AC-Series is capable of applying power to the engine as well as absorbing power (braking) via the connected driveshaft. This allows the dynamometer to simulate external forces on the engine and allows the dyno to crank an engine eliminating the need for an engine-mounted starter.
The AC-Series does not require a water cooling system and instead dissipates energy via an air-cooled load bank or returns power to the grid via an AC regenerative drive.
Power Test has the knowledge and experience to design and manufacture a custom AC Dynamometer to match virtually any specifications. Below is just a small sampling of the custom AC Engine Dynamometers we have produced. Many options are available, contact our sales associates today.
