The Semper Fi Fund
Power Test is a company committed to the well-being of its employees, its community, and its country. In our 40 year history we have exemplified this commitment through initiatives, both large and small, to support our armed services. We have a close working relationship with the military with our dynamometers and heavy equipment testing systems found in installations around the country and globe. We’ve made it an effort to hire United States Military Veterans, with a firm belief that their experience makes Power Test a better company and that their service affords them abundant employment opportunities. Power Test has been a beneficiary of their service and, in accordance with our core values, has been determined to give back.
On Friday, September 30th, 2016 Power Test presented a $50,000 donation to the Semper Fi Fund. This organization, dedicated to supporting the critically ill and injured members of all branches of the US Armed Forces, provides the resources needed to aid in the recovery and transition of injured veterans back into their communities. Power Test, and communities throughout the State of Wisconsin, have been direct beneficiaries of these veterans service and will benefit well into the future as these veterans continue to make a positive impact on our society.
Employees attended a brief presentation at the Power Test entrance to support the Semper Fi Fund and drive recognition and good will to the work that they are doing. On hand to accept the donation was BJ Ganem, a retired U.S. Marine injured in 2004 in Iraq. After his injury, Semper Fi Fund services supported him and his family as he reestablished himself in Madison, WI. In 2013 BJ joined the Semper Fi Fund to create the Veteran 2 Veteran Program to help service members understand and gain access to various programs to enrich their lives.
