Testing Challenge:

A customer required a flexible engine, generator & power pack regenerative dynamometer. The dynamometer had to have the ability to drive generators to test electrical output, but also absorb engine crank output or Power Pack PTO output power and adjust shaft height for any UUT.

Custom Engineered Solution:

The PTI ES division designed an AC Regenerative dynamometer on a heavy-duty lift table, also known as the AC-200LT. The machine can motor as well as absorb power, and has a shaft height adjustment from 19” to 39”. The controls and data acquisition collect an immense amount of engine or generator data. From vibration to temperatures to fuel flow to volts and amps, the AC-200LT exceeds expectations.
