Zachariah’s Acres Annual Golf Outing

Power Test has always held a belief that our charitable efforts are as, if not more, important than the work we do building dynamometers. Our success as an industry leader gives us the unique opportunity to be generous with our time and resources to make a positive impact on our community and the causes we hold dear. Year round we support missions that have personally touched the lives of our employees. This month there was one organization that particularly touched Power Test and we supported them at their annual Golf Outing with employee support and a charitable donation.

Zachariah’s Acres is a place, located in Oconomowoc, WI, where kids with special needs can enjoy nature and experience the great outdoors. With free events available to children and their families, Zachariah’s Acres uses their 48 acres of serene landscape to open the world of agriculture and nature-based learning to kids with disabilities.  At their Annual Golf Outing, Dinner and Auction on August 5th, organizers, volunteers, and wonderfully generous community members played 18 Holes at La Belle Golf Club to raise money and awareness for their cause.

Twelve Power Test employees represented the company by donating their time, money, and support for the organization.  And though the golf was enjoyable, the real highlight of the day was hearing the testimonies from the children and families that Zachariah’s Acres serves.

Funds raised during the event will be used to further the vision set forth in 2012, when Zach’s Acres first began, as a place where families can enjoy enriching experiences and new adventures to enhance their daily lives.  If you feel that you can make a contribution in support of this organization, we encourage you to visit their website and learn more about the Zachariah’s Acre’s mission.

Other Golf Outings

August appeared to be the month of golf as Power Test participated in a number of other golf outings in an effort to Make It Better.  Early in the month, employees attended the Sussex Chamber of Commerce Outing and the Young Professionals Glow in the Dark Outing.  Looking forward to September their are two more golf outings supporting the Holy Family Church and the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. The channel has been golf, but the time, effort, and money Power Test employees put into these causes has made an impact in their organizations and in our workplace.
